Guitar

TJ was such a card today. He got this new guitar and loves walking around with it and singing (yelling it sounds like) and saying "ya, yah, yahhh"....awhhhh! It's very cute to see his many expressions and faces as he's performing. Today we went outside because it was a gorgeous day and daddy need the house quiet. I followed him around the field and snapped away, catching him in action. It never occured to me that props could be so much fun. I think I will swipe this for my photo prop collection when the novelty is gone.

Storyboard Practice

This is a template I downloaded for a storyboard. My take on it. (above)

Today I wanted to practice creating storyboards -something I haven't done before. This is my first attempt. Storyboards are so fun and look really cool but hey, there's an art to it! It's no easy task creating it. Reminds me of scrapbooking.

Assignment #8

I chose to shoot portraits. Practicing with my new lens. =)

We had a great time today on both ends here. Me, loving up the diffused light of a cloudy day and the kids licking up the yumm lolly. These are just a few of my favorites from the some 150+ photos I shot of them today.

Sunset Backlighting

Yumm.... sunset backlighting. M and I had so much fun playing in the light. She was a willing model and for the price of a piece of gum I got several good shots. At the end of her shoot she asked me to get into the picture and get a "girls shot". So we took several and this one is my favorite.

Assignment 7

Our assignment was to shoot backlit subjects using a reflector and also shooting whites and get true white. It was fun. I got two perfect pictures this week (boy and flower). =)

Assignment #6 - Time of Day

This week our task was to pay attention to the light and time-of-day. Making note of how the same subject changes in the light after an hour up to several hours even.

Green at the Beach

A fun location find the other day! What a gorgeou beach setting! So much rich green color on the rocks that escaped into the sea. Breath-taking views of blue sky, puffy white clouds, calm waters, and evergreen trees reaching the rocky waterside. I loved the color and the light this evening. I shall return to do a photoshoot soon!

Raindrops Keep Falling...

This was such a fun assignment (this is part of assignment 5 that I couldn't do last week but did today). The kids were more than willing to participate and had so much fun getting all wet! They were bummed that the shoot only took maybe 5 -10 minutes. The first time they begged for more. =)
