Our final few days living by the sea.
As the morning fog breaks and reveals the blue sky she walks the beach in search of a living treasure. Jelly fish lay ashore on the beach these days and she and her brother rescue them, tossing them back to sea. The tide takes what it can. Sand fleas hop. The kids dig deeply with their shovels and sand goes airborne. It's quiet except for the gentle lap of the water on the rocky shore and the distant sound of a rocking rowboat swaying and dancing in the sea. You can smell and taste the air. It's sweet and salty. Peaceful and tranquil. Beautiful and serene. A perfect place to let down your hair and simply be.
Six-weeks we have lived by the sea. Just under a week remaining now and we head inland 20 minutes. We have enjoyed our coastal dwelling and daily strolls to the beach next door. It has been good for the soul and food for the heart. Here he rests on a bench mid-way up the beach access staircase, and he looks out to sea. Dreaming perhaps of the day he can ride in a rowboat or venture out to the distant islands he sees. Relaxed and peaceful. Maybe even a little bit sleepy.
Have a beautiful day!

awwwww I am so sad you are leaving the beach - you must go back and visit often to take pictures.
Your kids look so sad in these pics (on purpose I am sure), but I think someone needs to buy them an ice cream!!
