{Autumn in Maine}

It is as though Autumn came just overnight and everwhere we go we see color, color and more colorful trees and bushes. It's beautiful. The weather is definitely changing and all the wildflowers that filled our yard and orchard are returning to the earth and making ready for the snowy days to come. I believe some of the most dramatic skies can be seen during this time of year. On Monday this week I was up early, as usual, working on my computer and my monitor started developing a color cast. I thought it unusual so I turned around and shining in through the my office window was this beautiful pink glowing light. I went to the window and the sky was RED! Oh my I quickly grabbed my camera and ran out and took this shot of the house. I've been wanting to get a good picture of our place but have been waiting for the perfect light. So here you go. Our house on the orchard.

Today I scouted parks for an upcoming photo shoot. Our favorite park of the day is the Royal River Park in Yarmouth. There we found this "wicked yelluah" tree! Amazing colors out today even among all of this rain and gray sky we have.

After we left the park I continued my scouting of locations and visited one that I remembered seeing back when we were house-hunting, Grist Mill. When we pulled up to the picnic access / parkside I noticed there was a kayaking school in session! What luck, so my son and I walked up to the viewing area and took a few shots of them learning how to navigate in the current and rapids. Fun huh! I don't know what school this was but it sure looked neat.

Love 'em, love 'em, love 'em - I am hoping to get out this weekend and take my own fall photos, hope I am not too late, I agree it seems that it arrived overnight this past week!

Looks like you have some amazing locations for photo shoots - i must say I am quite jealous. Might be a road trip in my future ;-)
